DATA ON COMPANIES WHO SHARES TRADED ON THE RIYADH SECURITIES BOURSE

A-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper provided data on local companies whose shares are traded on the Riyadh Securities Bourse, as published in early November 2002 in the Report of the Saudi-British Bank. The shares of twenty-nine private companies are traded on this Bourse; their total equity is worth SR 33 billion ($8.8 billion).
The equity of the Saudi Telecom Company is SR 15 billion; of the Ahali Bank, SR 6 billion; of the Ma'adin Company, SR 4 billion; of the Ibn Rashid Company, SR 3.55 billion; of the Murafiq Company, SR 2.5 billion. The Saudi Arabian Securities Bourse is considered the largest bourse for trading shares in Arab companies, and the market value of the shares traded on it came to SR 396 billion ($105 billion) at the end of September 2002.
