WORLD BANK DELEGATION FINISHES VISIT TO CAIRO

According to Al-Hayat newspaper (March 8, 2003), a delegation representing the World Bank and the African Development Bank has finished a visit to Cairo. The delegation conducted with Egyptian officials a first round of talks regarding a one billion dollar loan to Egypt. This loan aims to finance the recently undertaken economic and financial measures by the Egyptian government.
It will also assist Egypt to face potential economic losses if the US attacks Iraq. Another technical delegation is scheduled to visit Egypt in the next few days to discuss final procedures for the mentioned loan.
