KTF SIGNS AGREEMENT WITH MS, HP AND INTEL

KTF, Korea's second largest mobile carrier announced it has signed amemorandum of understanding with Microsoft, Hewlett- Packard and Intelto jointly develop and market wireless Internet applications worldwide.Under the agreement, the four companies will introduce a comprehensivewireless Internet platform in August.

The platform, called K-MAC, willinclude software, hardware, applications, operating technologies andbusiness consulting.The platform will rely on software giant Microsoft's Windows-basedoperating system and mobile services delivery platform for the wireless Internet.HP, the world's second largest PC maker, will supply servers and storageequipment. Chip giant Intel will supply technology for consolidatingservers, KTF said.
