ABU DHABI NATIONAL HOTELS COMPANY RCORDS DH 100 MILLION SEMI-ANNUAL INCOME

According to Al-Bayan newspaper (August 3, 2003), the Abu DhabiNational Hotels Company declared a net operating income of Dh100.1 million in the first half of this year compared with Dh 100 million in the same period of the previous year. Mr. Khalifa Naser Mansoury, Chairman of the Board, described this profits volume as "most satisfying" taking into consideration the war on Iraq and the SARS spread, which had negative impacts on the global tourism and hotel industry.
The chairman attributed the company's good performance to its business diversification strategy, whereby the company runs various commercialbusinesses along with hotels.
