OPTICS 1, AWARDED CONTRACT FOR INNOVATIVE RESEARCH PROGRAM.

According to the DoD., Optics 1, Inc., Westlake Village, Calif., is being awarded a not-to-exceed $25,000,000 indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity contract for a Phase III Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Program under Topic N99-192 entitled "Electro-Optical/Infra-Red (EO/IR) Sensor Application on Supersonic Vehicles." The objective of the topic is to develop techniques that permit EO/IR sensors to operate in the high temperature environment of supersonic weapons and aircraft.
Work will be performed in Westlake Village, Calif., and is expected to be completed in March 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured using SBIR Program Solicitation under Topic N99-192 and 7 offers were received....
