ATOS ORIGIN PLANS ASIA ACQUISITIONS

Singapore will be at the centre of an aggressive expansion byinformation technology (IT) service provider Atos Origin as the European majorseeks to grow revenues in the region through acquisitions and other means.In China for example, Atos Origin plans to quadruple its revenues, withexisting long term contracts with three of China's four giantstate-owned banks, its Singapore-based Asia-Pacific CEO KC Neoh told BizIT.
AtosOrigin also provides backroom IT processing to six of 10 credit cardbusinesses in China, according to the China Daily.The Asia-Pacific operations employ about 2,100 people in ninecountries. Atos Origin has 50,000 staff worldwide. - (World IT Report.com)
