LOCKHEED MARTIN CORP. AWARDED CONTRACT LONG LEAD ITEMS

Lockheed Martin Corp., Orlando, Fla., is being awarded a $5,142,825 firm fixed price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide for long lead Items for depot Phase II support of advanced targeting pods. The mission involves the Air Force (Air Combat Command) and the Air National Guard.
The major objective of the program is to acquire state-of-the-art targeting pods to support F-16 and F-15 aircraft. At this time, $3,857,118 of the funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by December 2006. Solicitation began January 2005. The Headquarters Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-01-D-2029).
