ARAB POTASH COMPANY FINANCIAL OPERATIONS FIRST HALF 2005

Al-Bayan newspaper reported in early August 2005 on the financial operations of the Arab Potash Company during the first half of 2005. Net profits of the Company were up 200% over the first half of 2004, reaching JD 35.1 million. It is forecast that net profits by the end of 2005 will reach JD 82 million.
The Company management has called a General Stockholders Meeting for mid-August 2005 to discuss financial reports for 2004 and to authorize the decision to disburse profits to shareholders of 20% of equity. The paper estimates that annual production of the Company will reach 1.9 million metric tons of potash by the end of 2005.
