ALLIANT TECHSYSTEMS INC. AWARDED CONTRACT FOR HIGH EXPLOSIVE

Alliant Techsystems Inc., Anoka, Minn., was awarded on Sept. 16, 2005, a delivery order amount of $7,552,083 as part of a $7,552,083 firm-fixed-price contract for 25mm M792 high explosive incendiary with tracer cartridges. Work will be performed in Anoka, Minn. (27 percent), Radford, Va. (34 percent), and Rocket Center, W.V.

(39 percent), and is expected to be completed by March 30, 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on June 24, 2005, and one bid was received. The U.S. Army Tank- Automotive and Armaments Command, Picatinny Arsenal, N.J., is the contracting activity (W15QKN-05-D-0031).
