CANADIAN INVESTMENTS VALUED $100 MILLION

According to Al-Khaleej newspaper (November 1, 2005), Robert W. Peck, Canada's Ambassador in Algeria, estimated the value of the direct Canadian investments in Algeria at $100 million. The ambassador added that these investments are pumped into 47 enterprises in varied Algerian governorates. The official added that the Canadian SNC-Lavalin Group controls the majority of these investments.

SNC-Lavalin is Canada's largest engineering company and one of the world's biggest engineering, construction and infrastructure management firms, with offices across Canada and in 30 countries around the world.
