HARLEY-DAVIDSON MOTOR TO OPEN ITS FIRST FRANCHISE OUTLET

According to fdi.gov.cn: Harley Davidson, one of America's top 10 famous motorcycle companies, announced on March 24 to open its first franchise outlet in China with Beijing Fenghuolun Motorcycle Company. The outlet located in Beijing is about to launch operation in early April. Founded in 1903 and headquartered in the state of Wisconsin, USA, Harley Davidson has over 1300 franchise stores in over 60 countries and enjoys over 30% share of the global market for heavy- duty motorcycles.
In 2005, Harley Davidson produced 329,000 motorcycles, a year-on-year increase of 3.7%. 62,510 were exported, up by 10.3%.
