ALSTOM SPENDING MASSIVELY BUILDING LARGE POWER GENERATION UNITS

According to fdi.gov.cn: French company Alstom and Beijing Heavy- duty Electric Machinery Plant (BZD) recently celebrated the founding of their joint venture, BZD-Alstom (Beijing) Electric Equipment Company Limited, which is the only company in North China capble of designing and producing 600-mw sub-critical, supercritical and extra supercritical gas turbine power generation units.

It is also the largest French-funded manufacturing investment in Beijing. The joint venture is 60%/40% held by Alstom and BZD. It imports cutting-edge gas turbine power generation unit technologies from Alstom and applies high-standard operational and production processes which as uniformly applied in other Alstom plants.
