INTENSIVE ACTIVITIES BY COMMUNICATIONS MINISTER IN NEW YORK

Minister of Communications and Information Technology Tarek Kamel and Minister of Petroleum Sameh Fahmi attended the signing ceremony of a contract between Telcom Egypt and the US Lucint Technologies Company to provide 50.000 lines to Egypt. The contract is aimed at expanding the ground wirless network of Telecom Egypt using the most up-to-date (CDME) to provide services for remote areas.
The agreement was signed by engineer Bashir Aqil, Chairman of Telecom Egypt, and on the US side Hemeili, Lucint, Cairo branch. A press release issued by the Ministry of Communications on Saturday said that Minister Kamel attended the signing of an agreement between Lucint and Teletic and Telecom Egypt to serve state efforts in the field of the ADSI.
