ABU DHABI APPROVES LISTING ARAB BANK SHARES

Info-Prod Research (Middle East), November, 2006

According to "Jordan Times", Abu Dhabi Securities and Commodities Commission approved listing the shares of the Arab Bank on the Abu Dhabi Securities Market (ADSM), in response to a request by the Jordan Securities Commission and the Amman bourse. Arab Bank Chairman Abdul Hameed Shoman welcomed the decision and described the listing as being in line with the bank's expansion plans.

The step would also reinforce the trading of the bank's shares in flourishing and active financial markets, Shoman said. Earlier this week, Shoman met with Sheikh Sultan Ben Mohammad Al Qasimi, the ruler of Sharjah and member of the UAE Supreme Council, who lauded the bank's role in contributing to Arab economies and different pilot projects.
