MOODY'S ISSUES ANNUAL REPORT ON UNIVERSITY OF OTTAWA

In its annual report on the University of Ottawa, Moody's Investors Service says that the Canadian university's Aa2 rating and stable outlook are supported by growing enrolment, a strong balance sheet and a history of positive operating outcomes. The rating also reflects the university's institutional importance as Canada's premier bilingual university.

"The University of Ottawa relies on a rolling three-year budget plan that helps provide flexibility to meet challenges as they arise", says Moody's Senior Vice-President David Rubinoff, lead analyst for the University of Ottawa and author of the report. "Accordingly, the university has been successful in generating annual surpluses and positive funds from operations over the past several years despite facing cost pressures."...
