BRASKEM POSTS NET REVENUES OF 19 BILLION REALS

According to anba: The consolidated net revenues of Brazilian petrochemical company Braskem grew 11% last year, to 19 billion reals. The results were disclosed by the company on Wednesday (20). In the previous year, the company's net revenues had reached 17 billion reals. In dollars, the growth in net revenues was 24% in 2007 over 2006.

According to a company statement, the result was due mainly to the 8% increase in the volume of resin, ethane and propane sold on the domestic market, and to better resin prices on the foreign market, reflected on the domestic market. The Braskem consolidated EBITDA in 2007 reached 3.2 billion reals, with growth of 5% over the 3 billion real EBITDA registered in 2006.
