PRICES DOWN, INCREASE SALES GDO

According to ANSA:The braking of prices allows families to fill their shopping cart, but there is the cutting of the sales proceeds of super-markets. This is the picture that emerges from Sales Flash, bulletin of Unioncamere on the performance of Gdo: in the second two months of 2009, the Gdo recorded an increase in revenues ( 2.3%), - 0.5% compared with the first two months of the year '.
The only exception to this trend is in the South of Italy where sales decreased by 1,4%. The greatest reductions occurred in Basilicata, Calabria (-5.9%) and Campania (-2.6%).
