AsiaInfo Services 01-20-1997 Dow to Expand A/P Business CHINA, January 20, AsiaInfo Services, Inc -- Dow will raise its sales income in the Asia-Pacific region by 10-15 percent on yearly basis and target Asian, China and India as its main development markets, announced the US major. Dow is studying feasibility to run a large-scale petrochemical complex in Tianjin with a view to setting up a 600,000 t/a naphtha cracking unit and a chlorine manufacturer.
It has signed a letter of intent with Yangtze Petrochemical to cooperate in a PET plant establishment in Nanjing, plans to build a 120,000 t/a PS plan in Zhangjiagang, and is preparing to acquire a polyurethane company in Guangzhou.
