IBM SET UP ITS BRANCH OFFICE IN XI'AN

AsiaInfo Services 01-28-1997 IBM Set up Its Branch Office in Xi'an XI'AN, January 23, AsiaInfo Services, Inc -- The IBM China Co Ltd recently set up a branch in Xi'an, the capital of West China's Shaanxi Province as a major step to introduce network computation mode to the region. This branch, with the help from resources of the IBM, will provide the local users with computer hardware, computer software, networks, services and solution methods.
The IBM has also reached an agreement with Xi'an Jiaotong University to co-develop the information technology system of that university, a system based on IBM techniques such as digital library, which can be applied to fields other than education.
