AsiaInfo Services 10-02-1997 Research JV Set Up ZHEJIANG, September 30, AsiaInfo Services, Inc -- Scientists from China's interior areas, Hong Kong and Canada jointly launched a research institute on biomedical engineering in Hangzhou last week. Based at Zhejiang University, the institute was co-sponsored by Zhejiang University, Zhejiang Medical University, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and University of Toronto of Canada.
Two transnationals, Hong Kong Space Technology International Company and Japan Photonics Company, will provide funding, communication facilities and state-of-the-art equipment for the institute.
