AsiaInfo Services 11-26-1997 First Model Sony GSM Phones Sold in China CHINA, November 26, AsiaInfo Services, Inc -- Sony Co Ltd declared that it began to sell officially its first model GSM mobile phone CMD-Z1 in Chinese market. It's the first step of Sony to manufacture and sell digital mobile phone consisting of high-tech and unique features in China.
Sony CMD-Z1 GSM phones are made by Beijing Shuohong Electronics Co Ltd, which has founded in October 1995 contracted by four sides. The output in the early stage will be around 1,000 set per month.
