AsiaInfo Services 05-18-1998 No 1 Auto-Volkswagon Company Turned 3.75 Billion RMB Yuan in Tax CHINA, May 15, AsiaInfo Services, Inc -- No 1 Auto-Volkswagon Co Ltd, a large-scale joint car producer by China No 1 Auto Group Company, German Volkswagon Auto Company and Audi Auto Company, was established in 1991 with total investment of 10.77 billion RMB yuan (8.9 billion RMB yuan for Jetta project, 1.87 billion RMB yuan for Audi project) and registered capital of 3 billion RMB yuan, among which No 1 Auto takes 60 percent of the shares, Volkswagon 30 percent and Audi 10 percent.
