AsiaInfo Services 11-25-1999 Sharp Decline in Price of Rice CHINA, November 25, AsiaPort -- Price of newly produced rice has suffered a continuous decline since it was put on the market in October. Now the wholesale price is 1.90 to 2.00 RMB yuan each kg. The major reason is an oversupply.
