AsiaInfo Services 12-30-1999 State Farm Reports Trade Surplus CHINA, December 30, AsiaPort -- The exports of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corp, the country's largest State farm, brought in US$ 157 million by the end of October, US$ 37 million more than imports. It marked the first trade surplus for the corporation.

The figure for exports was a 97 percent increase over 1998, according to an official from the farm in the Xinjiang Ugyur Autonomous Region in Northwest China. In the January-October period, the farm's general trade revenue of the corps stood at US$ 64 million, with cotton exports making up 86 percent of the total.
