AsiaInfo Services 03-22-2001 Netcom still not sated BEIJING, Mar 22, 2001 (AsiaPort via COMTEX) -- Major telecom service provider China Netcom Corp is busy looking for overseas partners and plans to be more active in the international capital market, according to a statement the firm released at opening ceremonies for its Hong Kong holding company. The brash company became the first Chinese telecom operator to make direct use of foreign capital after it signed a US$ 325 million equity deal with US-based companies News Corp and Goldman Sachs.
