AsiaInfo Services 12-03-2001 China's WTO Entry Benefits Its Cottons Industry CHINA, Dec 03, 2001 (AsiaPort via COMTEX) -- The US International Cottons Association points out that China's WTO accession benefits both China and the world. The WTO entry will boost China's textile industry, and indirectly benefit the US cottons industry. Thanks to the WTO accession, exports barriers of textile and clothes will be reduced.

Hence, the consumption of raw materials (including cottons) will soar. Meanwhile, it will be necessary for China's textile enterprises to import more cottons.
