CHINA UNICOM WOULD ISSUE A-SHARE

AsiaInfo Services 12-10-2001 China Unicom Would Issue A-Share CHINA, Dec 10, 2001 (AsiaPort via COMTEX) -- China Unicom expressed on Wednesday that the parent company entrusted CICC to issue A-share in the beginning of 2002, and expected to be soon approved by State Council. The assets listing on A-share market is only the stock equity of HK listed company, which does not include the CDMA networks assets.

Due to the parent company holding 77% of stock equity of HK listed company, if China Unicom issue all the stock equity, the scale would be too large, thus only include part of it.
