CHINA UNICOM WOULD ISSUE A-SHARE

AsiaInfo Services 12-10-2001 China Unicom Would Issue A-Share CHINA, Dec 10, 2001 (AsiaPort via COMTEX) -- China Unicom expressed on Wednesday that the parent company entrusted CICC to issue A-share in the beginning of 2002, and expected to be soon approved by State Council. The assets listing on A-share market is only the stock equity of HK listed company, which does not include the CDMA networks assets.
Due to the parent company holding 77% of stock equity of HK listed company, if China Unicom issue all the stock equity, the scale would be too large, thus only include part of it. The scale of this time for China Unicom to raise funds is very huge, which would surpass the scale of A-share issued by Sinopec in June, and become the largest funds raising by...
