In this year, many significant achievements were made by China's telecom operators. According to the Ministry of Information Industry, starting from May 1 2001, the China Mobile Communications Corporation (China Mobile) started to transfer the simulation Network in 31 provinces and cities throughout China.
By June 30, both the domestic and international roaming services for the stimulation Network customers were stopped.
