AsiaInfo Services 08-28-2002 VISA International to Build Modern Payment System in China by 2008 BEIJING, Aug 28, 2002 (AsiaPort via COMTEX) -- As one of the biggest global payment networks, VISA is collecting its pace entering Chinese market. Its Asian-Pacific Regional President said on August 25 that the organization planed to spend 6 years cooperating with Chinese domestic bans to build a modern payment system in China before the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. According to the report of Beijing Morning Post, the president said that there were only about 50,000 agents accepting international payment in China at present stage.
