AsiaInfo Services 09-02-2002 China Unicom Awards Alcatel Shanghai Bell to Optimize VoIP Network SHANGHAI, Sep 02, 2002 (AsiaPort via COMTEX) -- Alcatel Shanghai Bell, the leading telecom technology company in China, announced today that its A5021 ARS (original IPway 9100) Routing Server has been selected by China Unicom in the first time to optimize its existing VoIP network. With the combination of the Alcatel 5021 Advanced Routing Server (ARS)'s powerful call control features, flexible policy-based routing functions and advanced digital manipulation capabilities, China Unicom will be able to offer new advanced services on top of their existing Voice over IP network.
