ROLLS-ROYCE OBTAINS AN ORDER OF RMB 250 MILLION IN ENGINE

AsiaInfo Services 11-11-2002 Rolls-Royce Obtains an Order of RMB 250 Million in Engine ZHUHAI, Nov 11, 2002 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Rolls-Royce announced on the Zhuhai Aviation Expo on November 4th that they had obtained an order worthy RMB 250 million from Air China. Rolls-Royce will provide V2500 engines for Air China.

These engines will be installed in a new fleet of 8 A319 Airbus plants bought by Air China. It is said that V2500's production will be taken over by International Aero Engines (IAE). Rolls-Royce is a senior stock holder of IAE. Air China is a new customer of IAE, and it will use short to medium distance flights.
