AsiaInfo Services 01-14-2003 Price War in Automobile Market Spreads BEIJING, Jan 14, 2003 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- The news from Chongqing Chang'an Suzuki Company says that as of January 9, Chang'an Suzuki will universally cut down the prices of the cars of its Antelope series and Alto series.
The maximum of the price cuts will reach RMB 12000. According to the sales staff of the company, after the price cuts, the retail price for Alto standard model is RMB 39800, and the retail price for Alto with all configurations is also less than RMB 50000. The retail price for standard Antelope has been lowered to less than RMB 70000. Even the price of Antelope with automatic gears does not exceed RMB 95000.
