AsiaInfo Services 01-22-2003 South Korean SKT Joins Hands With China Unicom in Wireless BEIJING, Jan 22, 2003 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- On January 19, 2003, South Korea Telecom (SKT) signed contract with China Unicom to form a joint venture of providing Chinese users with wireless Internet access services. According to a report from Beijing Entertainment & Recreation post, if the cooperation was successful, SKT would be the first foreign telecom carrier running value-added telecom businesses in China.
