AsiaInfo Services 01-31-2003 Citibank to Provide Online Banking to Individuals and Companies BEIJING, Jan 31, 2003 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- On January 27, Citibank declared that the People's Bank of China has authorized it to provide universal online banking services both to individuals and domestic and foreign enterprises in the Mainland China.
Hongkong Shanghai Banking Corporation, Hang Seng Bank and the Bank of East Asia have also been allowed to open online banking services, but they can only offer online banking services to individuals. The online banking services of the Citibank will enable the customers to conduct convenient and safe financial transactions on the internet around the clock in the whole week.
