AsiaInfo Services 02-13-2003 7 Billion SM during Spring Festival BEIJING, Feb 13, 2003 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- SinoCast - According to a report of Beijing Morning Post, during the Spring Festival, total 7 billion short massages have been sent in China, in which, 6 billion for China Mobile, 1 billion for China Unicom. As far as 200 million Chinese mobile phone users, 7 billion short massages mean 30 for each. Only in the New Year's Eve, China Mobile has traffic of short massages of 1 billion, China Unicom is 100 million.
The profits of short massages are very helpful for the two telecom carriers that are going to issue annul report in Hong Kong Stock Market. China Mobile says it has traffic of 20 million short massages per hour in the New Year's Eve. In...
