AsiaInfo Services 05-27-2003 Over 100,000 VISA Int'l Cards Issued in China in First Quarter BEIJING, May 27, 2003 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- According to the information from the VISA International Organization, in the first quarter of this year, VISA has issued over 100,000 international cards in the Mainland China, a new historic high.
Meanwhile, the consumption volume with Visa international cards has also apparently risen. Up till March 31, 2003, the VISA International Organization had issued totally 691,000 international cards, an increase of 58% compared to that of the same period last year, and accounting for 70% of China's international credit card market.
