AsiaInfo Services 06-13-2003 Nationwide Credit Record Network in Operation CHINA, Jun 13, 2003 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- People's Bank of China (PBC)announced yesterday that China had completed the nationwide networkof bank credit record and consulting system at the end of 2002,suggesting China is on the way of credit consulting. China began to build the bank credit record and consulting systemin 1997.
In 2002, the system realized nationwide interconnectionby the databanks built in 334 prefecture-level cities and 31provinces, autonomous regions and cities under the control of thecentral government.
