AsiaInfo Services 07-17-2003 China Unicom Targets Wireless Public Phone Service CHINA, Jul 17, 2003 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Wireless public phone service becomes new target of China Unicom. On July 15, China Unicom ordered over 530,000 suits wirelesspublic phone terminals including wireless commerce desktoptelephone and access equipment from Alcatel Shanghai Bell. The products will be delivered soon. They will be equipped in publics places such as big shoppingcenters, office buildings, and big enterprises in Chongqing,Xinjiang, Fujian, Anhui, and Gansu provinces.
