AsiaInfo Services 09-26-2003 Shipment of Acer's Laptop Computer Increased CHINA, Sep 26, 2003 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- On September 24, Acer Inc., Taiwan-based personal computer maker, announced that personal computer industry would grow rapidly in the fourth quarter thisyear, and shipment of its laptop computer would rise by 30-40% in comparison with the same period last year. One official from Acer said that laptop computer shipment reached 200,000 units monthly, 50,000 units higher than the same period last year. He also forecasted that personal computer shipment would hit 280-300 units in next year, well higher than 180-200 units thisyear.
