QUALCOMM COOPERATES WITH CHINA UNICOM ON GSM AND CDMA

AsiaInfo Services 10-14-2003 Qualcomm Cooperates with China Unicom on GSM and CDMA CHINA, Oct 14, 2003 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- According to Qualcomm, it has finished its first-stage GSM1x testing successfully with China's second mobile communications carrier China Unicom. It has tested GSM / CDMA2000 mobile phone successfully, which is the first time in the world. Chairman and CEO of Qualcomm said that the first-stage testing is important for the development of next-generation wireless services.
