AsiaInfo Services 12-17-2003 CNPC Sets Up New Telecommunications Corporation CHINA, Dec 17, 2003 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) announced the foundation of CNPC Telecommunications Corporation at a meeting held on December 11. The move is to restructure CNPC Telecommunications Network & Power Engineering Corporation and former CNPC Telecommunications Corporation. CNPC Telecommunications Network Bureau will be in charge of CNPC Telecommunications Corporation, starting from January 1, 2004. After the restructring, said Ren Chuanjun, vice president for CNPC, the new CNPC Telecommunications Corporation should have anew market positioning, strengthen its management and develop independently.
