AsiaInfo Services 01-13-2004 CPA to Refit Boeing 747-400 into Freight Aircrafts TAIWAN, Jan 13, 2004 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Taiwan-based Cathay Pacific Airways Limited (CPA) planned to refit Boeing 747-400 passengeraircrafts into freight aircrafts in order to enter the air cargo market in Mainland China. The company had signed an agreement with Boeing to refit from 6to 12 Boeing 747-400 passenger planes into freight planes.

The refit will be carried out by Boeing and Taikoo (Xiamen) Aircraft Engineering (TAECO). Besides, CPA will buy a new Boeing 747-400 freight plane that will be delivered in February 2005.
