CBRC APPROVED WING LUNG BANK TO SET UP BRANCH

AsiaInfo Services 01-20-2004 CBRC Approved Wing Lung Bank to Set Up Branch BEIJING, Jan 20, 2004 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Hong Kong Wing Lung Bank was approved by China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC) of PRC to set up a branch in Mainland China. After the central government and Hong Kong Government signed the Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA), three Hong Kong banks had submitted the applications of setting up branch in Mainland China to CBRC.
Wing Lung Bank is the first one among the three that received the approval. It is said that Wing Lung Bank will establish a branch at LuohuDistrict, Shenzhen City. The branch will be formally operated as early as this spring. In the meantime, the Foreign Trade Bureau and Industry and Commerce...
