AsiaInfo Services 06-08-2004 Aluminum Corporation of China's Output to Grow CHINA, Jun 08, 2004 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Luo Jianchuan, vice president of Aluminum Corporation of China Limited, said that its alumina output would reach 8 million tons, 23% up year on year, in 2005. Aluminum Corporation of China Limited would acquire Lanzhou Aluminum Inc to raise its production capacity. The profit of Lanzhou Aluminum Inc decreased 50% in 2003. Besides, Aluminum Corporation of China Limited will build a bigalumina factory in Barcarena City of Brazil with a Brazilian company. The new alumina factory will start to be operational in 2007 with a first-phase investment of USD 1 billion. It will have an annual capacity of 7.2 million tons to supply Chinese market. ...
