AsiaInfo Services 06-16-2004 China Unicom to Present Dual-Mode System Service CHINA, Jun 16, 2004 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China United Telecommunications Corporation (China Unicom) will roll out dual-mode mobile phoneservice, which is called G&C mobile dual-mode system. China Unicom was founded in July 1994, and it is one of the leading telecommunication carriers in China. Up till the present moment, the company has set up more than 300 branches and subsidiaries in 30 provinces and cities nationwide. The dual-mode mobile phone is compatible with C and G networks of China Unicom and network service of China Mobile. A dual-mode mobile phone has two SIM card grooves.
