ALCATEL SHANGHAI BELL AND SMG TO DEVELOP VIDEO APPLICATION

AsiaInfo Services 06-28-2004 Alcatel Shanghai Bell and SMG to Develop Video Application SHANGHAI, Jun 28, 2004 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Alcatel Shanghai Bell Co., ltd., (Alcatel Shanghai Bell) and Shanghai Media Group (SMG) have signed an agreement to develop video application base on 3G network. In accordance with the agreement, SMG will provide news, entertainment, finance and other TV programs for Alcatel Shanghai Bell.
And the latter will integrate the programs into 3G network, which will enable mobile users to enjoy hi-fi and real-time VOD. At present, Alcatel Shanghai Bell is carrying out the outfield test of 3G network with SMG. In order to win more orders, Alcatel Shanghai Bell will unfold similar cooperation with morecontent providers, sources say. ...
