AsiaInfo Services 07-06-2004 China Sees Sharp Rise in Tariff Revenue CHINA, Jul 06, 2004 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- In the first half of this year, the tariff and import link tax reached CNY 240.3 billion in China, CNY 65.6 billion more than that of the same period a year earlier, or 38% up year on year. Of the total, tariff was CNY 54.8 billion and import link tax was CNY 185.5 billion, growths of 25% and 42% respectively. According to the statistics from the General Administration Customs of China, the tariff and import link tax rose 41% at CNY 42.9 billion, a jump of CNY 12.6 billion this June alone.
