AsiaInfo Services 07-09-2004 Ford Considers Quitting from JMC CHINA, Jul 09, 2004 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Ford, one of the world's biggest motor makers, is likely to quit from its first joint venture JMC in China. At present, Ford and JMC are negotiating about whether they will continue to be in partnership and about the cooperation details. JMC entered Chinese light coach market in 1997 but now doesn't show a good performance at all. Nowadays, it can only maintain its poor market shares through minute technical improvement. A general manager at JMC said that the result of the negotiation is possible to be revealed late this year.
