AsiaInfo Services 08-20-2004 TOM Expands E-Mail Box Capacity BEIJING, Aug 20, 2004 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- TOM ONLINE announced on August 17 that it would expand the capacity of free e-mail box from 10M to 180M. Before this, TOM has already rejected four millionnon-active e-mail users so as to provide more account choices for new registration.
Experts believe that TOM's move might be a preparation for entering instant message market in later 2004. After the expansion, users will enjoy a 150M free mailbox. The capacity of attached file is also raised from 2M to 8M. In addition, TOM e-mailbox is equipped with a 15M briefcase and a 15M album.
