AsiaInfo Services 09-29-2004 Viagra Approved of Retailing, Pfizer Sues SIPO CHINA, Sep 29, 2004 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Viagra has been approved of entering China's medicine retailing market, declared Pfizer Inc. on September 27. It was also revealed by Pfizer's high-level official that Pfizer would sue the Patent Review Committee under China State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) for Viagra's patent right at Beijing No.1 Intermediate People's Court on September 28. It was also disclosed that the prescription right of Viagra, anonly medicine for ED by now, has extended to second-class comprehensive hospitals and some specialized hospitals of cardiovascular diseases, male venereal diseases and mental illness.
